What? / How? / Why?

The Secret Project (working title) explores, through ritualistic, sound-based and embodied interaction, different connections and entanglements with more-than-human worlds.

In this experimental project, we invite you to meditate on, feel, and share your connection with your surroundings. Their contribution will become part of a growing digital body of collective voices from different places around the world, and integrated recursively and in real time into an evolving more-than-human soundscape, which can be experienced online or in an immersive installation environment.

The work also encourages us to question the meaning of digital data and its role in shaping the present and future of many different worlds. For example, who decides on the definitional legitimacy of data and its uses? How can we encounter and where appropriate amplify hidden voices? What are different ways of knowing and being? How might we challenge the existing power structures and care-fully create relational spaces for change and different forms of belonging towards sustainable more-than-human futures?

Through creative experimenting and collaborating (with other projects like the Feral Map and Open Forest Data project), we continue to explore these questions and more. We invite you to join us by being part of the Secret Project.
